Opportunity amid volatility: Capital markets in a new global order

Join DZ BANK, in collaboration with Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW) and the Official Monetary and Financial Institutions Forum (OMFIF), for the DZ BANK International Capital Markets Conference in Frankfurt on 6-8 May 2025.

Our flagship event, held in continental Europe’s principal financial hub, convenes global policymakers, politicians, business leaders and financial market practitioners to discuss the outlook for capital markets in an increasingly multipolar world.

Against a backdrop of declining multilateralism. Europe has entered 2025 with a sluggish economy, transforming transatlantic relationship and divergent global monetary policy. Compounded by risks stemming from the global political climate.

Despite the recent elections in Germany, Europe's policy uncertainty remains in focus given the absence of stable leadership in Europe's largest economies.

Moreover, Trump's second term is serving as a wake-up call for Europe to redefine its global role. Europe will seek to take leadership on climate action, develop a unified strategy to navigate Washington's trade policies and prepare for less defence support.

At the same time, uncertain geopolitics, increasing digitalisation, and greater regionalisation have put the onus on policymakers to create the conditions for the euro – which celebrated its 25th anniversary – to strengthen its international role by advancing capital markets union.

Join us to hear from global thought leaders on the opportunities and challenges as capital markets adapt to a new era of market conditions, shifting and aligning investments towards a more multipolar, digital, and sustainable economy.

The conference language will be English.

We look forward to welcoming you in Frankfurt.
