Join DZ BANK, in collaboration with Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW), and the Official Monetary and Financial Institutions Forum (OMFIF), for the DZ BANK International Capital Markets Conference in Berlin on 22-24 April 2024.

This flagship event convenes policymakers, politicians, business leaders and financial market practitioners from around the world to share their expertise and to discuss the best strategies to manage the future of finance.

In 2023, the world economy witnessed shifts and challenges, but also opportunities and finished the year in better health than anticipated. With inflation falling in much of the world, financial market expectations of policy rate cuts in 2024 are now looking more realistic. But risks remain as a new era of higher interest rates impact markets, and geopolitical unknowns cast a fog over the 2024 outlook.

Though the economic outlook remains deeply uncertain, 2024 stands to be a pivotal year for global financial markets, with major transitions having lasting implications for the economy and the future of financial markets.

Climate change and sustainability will place traditional business models under the microscope. Financial markets will need to finance and assist this transition, manage climate-related risks, and align with the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals. New innovations and changes to financial behaviour will also be brought about by technological advances and disruption.

Financial markets’ approach in 2024 on how to adapt to these transitions will determine the future of finance and the global economy. How prepared will market participants be, and what choices will they make?
